Shifting Sands is a Post Scriptum Community Mod in development with the aim of re-creating the battles from the North African campaign of WWII. The team is a small group from within the PS Community which aims to create the maps, equipment, vehicles, and uniforms from the various factions that took part. We all share is a passion for history, and for accurately re-creating one of the most dynamic and also under-represented theatres of the Second World War. The Afrika Korps arsenal will see the addition of the Panzer I in Shifting Sands. Originally designed as a training tank, it introduced the new form of armoured warfare to the Heer, and saw combat in the Spanish Civil War, Poland, France, North Africa, and the Soviet Union. In the early stages of the campaign in North Africa, about 50% of German tanks we Panzer Is and IIs. While it lacks any substantial firepower, it is surprisingly quick and agile, and its small profile make it ideal as a recon tank.
