Shattered Lands is a World War III themed mod for Men of War Assault Squad that will offer a huge variety of game play and features. Four unique and diverse factions each with entire arsenals specific to them. It will also add a large number of overall improvements to the Men of War experience.
The FN MAG (Not to be confused with the M240B, An American Clone of the MAG). This is the medium level machine gun out of the three avaible for Europe. Its range is up to 180 in-game meters, and will serve as a supressive fire support weapon. It carries 100 round boxes for ammunition and has a medium fire rate and higher damage than the Minimi.
Technically, the M240 is a variant of the FN Mag not the other way around. But other then that will the other nation variants be in?
We are well aware.
Few people know about the MAG. they know it better as the M240 Thanks to mainstream video games.
They'd forget a lot of our post-WWII automatic weaponry comes from Belguim, will the other variants of the FN Mag be included?
What Variants?
The model we made is the general purpose machine gun for this faction, it is by all accounts normal, alongside the Minimi LMG, There is no need for more machineguns or MG Variants.
For example, the British use the L7 variant in the role of GPMG and used on the majority of vehicles.
No, The most you can expect to see for weapons are multiple variants that have visual differences. IE two AK-74Ms, one without any accessories and one with a red dot optic.
There is frankly no point in scripting an entirley different weapon when it is just a British Clone of what we have already made.
Just asking, so will the vehicles that use the FN Mag be named 'FN Mag' or the variant name?
the vehicles use the same coax weapons as the infantry Carry.
For example if you go to loot a blown up European tank you will probably find a FN MAG or M2 or something in there. there is only one MAG and I don't think we are making more visual variants.
A few service rifles will have multiple visual appearances though
The AK-74M, M4, M16A3 will all have between 2-5 different variations. a CIS Rifleman and Squadleader both carry AK-74Ms for example, the Squadleader has a PSO Scope on it while the Rifleman has no accessories. both guns function the same, etc
Fair enough.
I've actually gone around some of Europe's tanks and only one country uses the FN Mag and that is British.
Does that mean we get to find MG3s in the tanks? :D
Great work guys! Also, could you tell me what kind of Bipod that is?
No clue, I just modeled it from the reference picture.
