A bug fix and some balancing.
With this update, beating Veteran difficulty is now possible, I think.
Changes:
Fixed the bug that equipping fists causes game crash when playing game on Nightmare difficulty.
Now you can change damage scales of each difficulty by editing parameters listed below in "player.def" file.
"damageRateOnRecruit" "0.75" <- same as original
"damageRateOnMarine" "0.90" <- same as original
"damageRateOnVeteran" "1.35" <- lower than original
"damageRateOnNightmare" "1.80" <- lower than original
Note:
This feature actualized by script and executes only on map initializing.
This means changing difficulty(from/to Veteran/Nightmare) on console command in game may not producing an intended damage scale.
To fix this, you need to load new map after changing difficulty.
Some enemies damages are decreased as fit as beating Veteran difficulty without regeneration.
This update contains scripts update, so you will fail to load your save data after updating.
Please use console commands to revert your game condition.
