Update from Latest Sprint (June 1st - June 15th)
Over the course of the last two-week sprint, we have changed and accomplished a number of things. These include:
- Completing the civ icons for every civ we currently plan to add
- Successfully adding Carthaginians and Persians, and reworking Persians
- Implementing the updated Roman house, along with several other new models and buildings
- Improved all the regional units for each civ. Now we no longer have units being used multiple times or sharing graphics with unique units. We are still working on a few of these, but they are mostly complete
- Reworked the string file entirely, it now includes every civ we are going to add in the planned future
- We've also started working on rewriting the history sections, but that won't make it into this update, and might be a while away. This is needed to ensure a good quality history section that fits the mod
Check back often, the Mod team has grown, and we have organized our development in two-week sprints to add all planned civs, fix/optimize balancing between civs, resolve bugs, and incorporate custom graphics to capture the period in all its glory. More to come!!

Came here through Spirit of the Law. As an AoE1 lover and Ancient History enthusiast I'll surely give this mod a try, it's impressive.
(I am the one who wrote this comment btw, just managed to login again to my old account haha)
Awesome, glad you are enjoying the mod!
amazing! came here from spirit of the law. this mod is incredible
Cool concept; unfortunately, monoremes and all archers are invisible and can't be controlled. They still fight but can't be ordered or attacked, breaking the game.
You need to enable ultra high graphics.

Hi Caesar3842
I have a question for you: What graphic software are you using for create new units/structures for that mod???
We use several. Units are made using Maya 3D modeling tool. We do some post processing in Photoshop. Many buildings are ported over from AOE with resizing in SLX. Wonders are either modeled in Sketchup or created manually using Photoshop and MS Paint. All the Data Graphics are created using SLX studio.
Wow, this is so impressive! Playing AoE 1 in AoE 2 DE graphics is the dream :)
Nice work, thanks so much!
It would be amazing to replay the original scenarios in this mod one day :)
Are Macedonians in yet?
I hope they get Inca's 1+ range sarisa pikemen
