Weekly Update 9 news - Rift: The Horror of 145 mod for Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Hey all

I have a few things to update this week for you all.
Firstly, Map 07_03 is completed finally, after a few weeks of working on it. I am completely satisfied with how the map is and as I stated last update, I believe it is the best map I have made so far for the mod. I hope to continue this into the last couple of maps, that's right, there's only a few more maps to make and that's done!

Secondly, last Thursday marked two months since I began development on the mod and looking at it so far, it's come a long way and I can honestly say that I am astonished at myself, it is looking a lot better than I first imagined.

Thirdly, this week I took a step back and looked at what I set out to make, what I have done, what I have yet to do and what I want to do with the mod. As a result of this reflection, I have decided for a short time to dial back my work on the physical creation of the maps and basically go back to the drawing board in regards to the story.
This week then will be dedicated to revitalising and re-imagining the story of (the newly extended name) Rift: The Horror of 145. Also on the agenda is the design of the last two maps I want to include in the mod, design on the third has already been completed.
Progress on the creation of the maps in the editor will still continue however, but at a much slower pace than before.
Hence I hope to deliver a much more powerful and immersive story for you all.
Due to this, the release date for the mod will most likely be delayed, I'll offer my prediction in the next update based on how much is done this week. I still have a glimmer of hope that the mod can be released this month. However, this leaves me with only 11 days with which to complete it, and I'd rather delay the release for one or two weeks and offer you all a better mod than release it this month with a rather rushed ending.
