This mod is work in progress. Retro Deathmatch is a BUILD Engine mod for Duke Nukem 3D recreating the 8bit to 64bit experience.
Well, I just added the option for both pixelated and filtered textures to some of my maps. If you prefer a pixelated look all you simply have to do is turn off the 24bit textures in the game's video options. The 24bit textures use the XBR 4x filter from a programmer named Hylian. Thanks to a little known program called Image Resizer. The reason I've done this is because the 3d maps measures up to 4 times the size of the 2d levels. The player sprite would be huge if I didn't make the textures bigger. This also protects my butt a little bit, because now the textures are no longer direct facsimiles from the original games. They only look the same. Even the pixelated look, doesn't match the colors perfectly. But it looks the same.
