No Animations Mod file - Requiem Link Evolution mod for Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist : Link Evolution
Planning on moving over some of my Requiem mod from the original Legacy of the Duelist over to Link Evolution.
Description
Note this is the same version as the other JP card art mod I uploaded here, just has all monster summoning animations turned off for the people that want them off, or have crashing issues with them.

Yeah it has the 1012 JP cards like the other mod I posted, just turns off animations for people that don't want them.
For now only Exodia crashes my game, would it be too much to ask if you could upload a version that only has Exodia disabled? ^^ That'd be nice :D
If possible, can you use my python script and guide to change your files? I don't mind helping walk you through it, but uploading this 1.5gb file every time for minor changes is getting to me haha

can you please release a version with dark magician nad red eyes black dragon and some other cards with anime art? i try using your tool but i dont understand it really.
I don't plan to edit cards anymore honestly, but don't mind helping. Where do you get lost on using the tool? Did you follow the guide I wrote as well?
yes i tried to but when i open the script it opens up in a "note" file, is that right? or am i doing something wrong. or do you have any idea if i can use the wolf master program? i was able to mod the original legacy of duelist with that.
It's not right lol. Are you sure it's opening with Python, try clicking once and Open With, and make sure you have the right version of Python 3.8 installed to Path on the setup as well.
That Wolf program only somewhat works on the new game. I don't the developer has plans to work on it again right at the moment either.

Yeah you can change the pack costs by hex editing.
If you want to try it yourself, unpack the files using the scripts I uploaded in my other file if you haven't already, then in the 'main' folder, you should see files named packdefdata. Open the one for whatever language you play the game in, and there should be an option in your hex editor to replace all of a certain number all at once, or can just replace one by one. You need to replace the first C8 00 (this is Grandpa's pack that costs 200) and the other 32 instances of 90 01 (these are the other packs that cost 400) with the cost of what you want them at. Just convert the number to hex, reverse the bytes (400 =0190 in hex, but the game reads it as 90 01 since its reversed in the files) and put it over those old numbers and it will change the cost. If you need more help, let me know and I can show an image or something to help

Could you please make a mod to turn off the banlist with cheat engine or with a mod?
the banlist is a strange combo of TCG / OCG, i would be ok with the current TCG one, too - cuz the one in the game makes some decks not fun anymore.

Because it's such a small edit, I'd rather not have to reupload the entire 1.5gb file every time for certain things lol, so is it possible you can try it on your own? You just need to use the packing scripts I posted here on another page with Python 3.8 and once it's done unpacking, put these files in the YGO_2020/bin folder, replacing the ones that were there.

Just put the dat and toc files in the same place your exe for the game is, either moving the old ones out to another folder for backup or overwriting them.
It's so annoying that this only happens with exodia and only on 30-40% of the time. I have an exodia deck that I can pull off relatively well but it takes a long time to set up so...
I have a good computer too so I shouldn't be crashing like this (the animation isn't THAT good) :(

Np, I'm glad if it can help, but yeah it's weird, I personally don't have an issue with the crashes, and some people have had like 4x better computers than my poor laptop and they crash every time xD I too hope they update it eventually to fix it, but doubtful they will do much of anything tbh.
Is there a way to make the duels faster,like speed up the entire duel like in tag force? also an auto-place cards mod is it possible?
About making the gameplay faster, I never tried either of these methods, but the Cheat Engine method does work.
Someone in my discord server made some kinda tool that should speed up gameplay, but as I never tried it myself and it's not my tool, I can't really fix any errors you might get. You can try it if you want, just let me know if you get errors or anything and I can talk to the creator of it and see if he can work on it.

Alternately you can use Cheat Engine which does work. If you need help with that, just open it and click the computer icon in the upper left, select your running Link Evolution game, then on the right side of the window of CE, you should see something there listed about speed and can toggle a number there when that speed box is checked. In duels probably won't go past 5x speed, but opening packs should go to about 10x I think.
About the auto-place cards, I'm not entirely sure about that one, but because of the way the game is set up differently than the old version, it might not be possible, I'm not sure how that would work tbh.

could you make all animation speed up, Animations such as synchro summong or when you use a card to show cards from your deck are very annoying and slow
The game is quite slow yeah. It might be possible to just delete some animations in the files and have it go quicker (I haven't tried this yet but it does turn off the monster animations of course), and most people seem to use Cheat Engine which has a built in speed option to make it go faster.
Mod's pretty nice. Needed the animation to be off because of exodia crash, but the uncensored cards are a nice bonus. Thanks for the hard work!

For any of these mods, you need to unzip or unrar the download with 7zip, winrar, etc. After that you will have a YGO_2020.dat and .toc files, place both of them where your game's exe is, and move the original files somewhere else as backup or overwrite them.
Previously had issue with Exodia hanging when the video animation plays and this has fixed it. Also appreciate the crisp change to the Japan Art (uncensored) without changing other things. Excellent! Thank you for this!
