It's been a while since we last talked about our progress, let's correct that.
First of all, we were interviewed by PMods.net, you can find the entire interview with first ingame shots and renders here !
(french only, there may be a translation comming in a few days).
As you can see, we have our first ennemy, the Xaphan fully working and very aggressive, as well as the 2 first weapons, the Hakael pistol, both in normal and akimbo, and the Azazel machinegun. Also released with the interview, a pack of the entire current soundtrack, including 23 orginal tracks by __MaX__ : Part 1 and Part 2.
Don't forget to check our website and feel free to send us a message if you want to help.
There is a probleme with the link to the last render, can someone from moddb fix it ?
This surely looks cool :D
The interview's with Max (sound artist, composer, 3D animator who secondarily leads and helps out on textures) and Jerc (3D modeller and assistant texture artist - who admits they're having a few problems with getting the textures done).
Mostly the interview concentrates on actually making the mod, rather than the mod itself, which only features in one question. There's info on how the team got together and they give advice on making a mod (they recommend phpoverlord; advise against aiming for a professional standard - if you aim for the best of your abilities you're more likely to actually release something; members shouldn't be afraid to ask eachother questions and help eachother out form time to time; work for yourself, if you do that much it doesn't matter what others say about your work). As for the mod:
What's the current status of the mod:
The storyline's finished and the levels put in their proper order. The more long-winded script is on it's way to being finished.
Oh, and they're recruiting :)
oh my that is looking cool =D
U have my watch
Oh and the sound design is coming along nicely, and some of the mappers are having a bit unhappy with what they've done so far while others are turning out some great work.
looks like a cool mod can't wait for release
Thanks Crispy for this perfect explanation of the interview :)
Oh man, I always loved Requiem. Pity it never took off. I'm honestly surprised nobody has tried remaking this game before. This is looking great!
