The scourge of Chaos arrived on a new world: Ziongane. This world was very close to the planet Ultramar, home of the great Space Marines chapter, the Ultramarines. The Imperial garrison on Ziongane, the 51st Battalion, were no match for the daemonic forces, and thus evacuated the planet before the Ultramarines arrived. Viewing the situation from their Battle Barge called The Impetus, Admiral Jaenus, along with Inquisitor Vanri, decided that there was only one way to cleanse the world of this taint, and thus the world was decimated in atomic fire. Deep in the Daedalus System, a home for the Zionganeans was found. The planet, Tirea IV. They moved there post-haste, with Admiral Jaenus in lead of the escort. However, this system is far from peaceful, and the new Tirean populus began creating the Emperor's war-machines again. At the same time, Admiral Jaenus received a distress signal from the Imperial Lunar-Class Cruiser, the Argus. It is the 41st Millenium, and there is only WAR.

Probably another Dawn of War Only warhammer fan; not understanding, Imperial Guard come in a near infinite amount of variations :P

..And even then I gotta ask the same question, seriously what -is- wrong with it o.O, the chest plate perhaps? No that would change based upon the troopers weight, Boots and shoulder pads? Again weight/style, and even then they look pretty darn good.

'Nyways, good job!

Edit; Perhaps he means proportions? I mean this image, lies a little bit in the sense it makes the IG feel identical in height to a Space Marine; But that could be perspective/angle, and it could also have to do with the bone structure of how they built it, hell if I know lol.

Well that's what I was looking for, "constructive" criticism :P Anyway, I think that may be due to the way I photoshopped the image. I really have no idea what is wrong with it, but I know it is not right.

if your going for a cadian shocktrooper look. The boots need some work, theres a leather/metal strap/piece that goes around the front half. I reccomend looking at the TT models or some artwork for them. They always help me loads for reference.

Personally, I'd like to see some evidence of the shoulder straps that would keep the pads on, not the "glued on" like GW does. But hey thats me.

Otherwise nice job! Give him a lasgun and a bucketful of courage and you got a moving flashlight wielder!

That's the second time I have come across the Imperial guard being called either a flashlight or flashlight wielder, what does that even mean?!

It is a reference to the weakness of their weapons as they are amongst one of the weakest weapons in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

The fingers seems too thin and maybe a lil' longer than it should it be. And the boots seems to be out of the ordinary. Or it is just me.
