So for a while back (by a while i mean a week ago) i got half life 2! (and its episodes.. oh and lost coast)
So when I was browsing my ModDB Page somebody left a comment if there is going to be a sequel just like Red mesa. i said once i got my hands of the source engine then yeah... couple months later and here we are :\
Here is the plot im thinking of doing...
During red mesa you wake up in your room and fight some zombies. Maybe my remake version can take place in Ravenholm? idk? leave an idea in the comments.
not going to spoil the whole plot. but thats what im going to give ya :)
if you have any ideas of what the story will take place after Ravenholm, go for it :)

I think as long as your thinking about what you'll do. What your plans are and what could happen. I'm sure It'll be a good sequel
As for what you should add. I wouldn't recommend adding something that would probably be super crazy for the plot. Like something taking place at the citadel or otherwise something as that could be seen as tedious or tenuous for your plot.
I would recommend something major for the end but nothing that could be percieved as very big and robust for the story you want.
But something that creates interest, like a abandoned town or city. Or a place where something big's going on like the Combine doing something to a thing that's important or dangerous
