We are now celebrating 30 years of Doom! Using only the original Doom 2 texture set and mapping functions, I have crafted four maps with a high level of detail and only one difficulty: hard. These are the first maps I've ever completed, I hope you enjoy them.
Simply extract the .zip file and run the .wad file using GZdoom.
Game-play/compatibility settings:
Doom 2 IWAD is required to run as intended.
Recommended for use with GZdoom running default compatibility settings (We're still unsure if it's even possible to beat with infinitely tall actors).
Hardware Accelerated rendering HIGHLY recommended to ensure proper visuals.
Please don't jump, you're playing DOOM baka~.
Vertical aiming is recommended.

Disclaimer this WAD is certainly full of minor bugs. With that out of the way, I helped teach Deathdrone some methods of manipulating the way GZdoom handles rendering using missing and sky textures in Hardware Accelerated rendering. That's how some of the "3d" looking structures are made. While I've done Doom mapping for a while now I've never personally published any maps of my own.
