Take yourself back to before the Rings of Power, and the fall of Numenor, to the beginning, when evil's first seeds began to stir. In this modification for BFME2, your entire world will be taken back to the First Age of Arda, where the Dark Lord Morgoth waged a war on the other Valar of Middle-earth, and the whole land was shaken and torn asunder. Play as the evil fallen one's army's commander, or fight to defend your civilisation as Elves, Dwarves or Men, and end this war of wrath and destruction! Never read The Silmarillion, but maybe children of the Great Ungoliant?
Huge spiders half the size of Shelob and are fast and strong.

Or the same size! I like the concept, and yes, we have already taken your idea into consideration.

BTW, I really recommend reading it, as despite how awkward it is to read, it is very well worth reading!

And thanks for posting!

I assume then, considering that there will be a breed of Ungoliant, that Ungoliant will be available as a hero?

Yes, but not from the fortress. Probably from a new spider pit.
