Those of you on the FREEZE discord may have heard this was moving to godot, but as those unfortunate circumstances had happened and I'm somewhat back on my feet with some time to spare it's going back to Half-Life mod form so expect slow but gradual changes and updates soonish.
During all the time moving I've been tweaking the story and soon hope to write a complete illustrated novel related to the project. Here's art and some brief mentions of changes and what's planned for the project ahead:
Still will have all the regular spooks as usual. "The Guardian" I've been having fun with making a bit more of a comical villain wearing disguises and different outfits for each of his devious schemes.
The setting(s) of the story have changed a lot among other things. It wasn't very satisfying to me having the plot be a clone of Half-Life with hellish ghouls rather than aliens and I really wanted to revisit other iterations of the storyline. So I wound up combining a lot of elements to my pleasure.
Rather than taking place in *just* a secret underground base, there's a whole town above it. And it's full of old people, stray cats, ghosts, and mutants. For the characters, Dan (the player) is a detective in this small country town who gets pulled into investigating the mysteries beneath, his friend Douglas is a fellow policeman helping Dan along the way. Seems fun enough. There are other characters but I realized while typing this it would take too long to explain.
Concluding, life really gets rough sometimes but hobbies are good to have. Like I said it's probably going to be slow on the rise as this isn't my top priority. Farewell and until next time. Adieu.
