Speedmodding is a competition where coders try and make a complete mod within a predefined boundary of time. Quake has a long and decorated history of speedmodding events of all sorts of types and lengths, and that tradition still lives. This is the Quake Speedmodding Competition #00, not to imply that it is the first, but that it is the first that we have tried to enumerate. So consider this the first of the new era of speedmodding. #00 was held by Harb on Inside3d.com and gamesnet #qc on the weekend of Friday 28th January to Saturday the 29th, 2005. The modders were given a single map with a set of unlabelled entities in it, and were told to create any mod they liked with the resources supplied.
