Work on Quake II: Source is still in progress! Although the project got put on hold for a little while, it's back and moving forward.
I must inform you of the new OFFICIAL WEBSITE as I have little control of the ModDB page:

There you will find up-to-date news, an explanation of the project, and an outline of the work to be completed. I must apologize for the sad state the site is in, but it will be redone very soon.
The game plan for now is:
1) Assign a material to each texture.
2) Sound replacement framework.
3) Conversion of all PC multiplayer maps.
4) Conversion of static models. (pickups/ammo/weapons)
5) Remake console multiplayer maps. (I CAN'T WAIT!!!)
As soon as I figure out how to code entities and re-animate NPC models I may be able to move on to the singleplayer content.
