This pic proves that the doom engine is 3d
not really, the doom you see here is heavily modified the true 3d effects are kind of like tricks rather than true 3D like Quake. It's still 2.5D
Modified or not it still looks 3D but yes perhaps your right its 2.5D
is the gzdoom engine. If you want it you must got zdoom and doom 2
