Background: PDS is THE first and original wartime simulation mod that brings out the flavour of naval warfare in a real time 3D setting. Units, weapons, tactics all based on our present and future concepts of warfighting. If you like watching space operas and reading David Weber, this mod is for you! Prospective changes include;

Vagyr Battlecruiser armaments refit, adding secondary and auxilliary weapon batteries, with the result of providing greater tactical flexibility and eliminating the "typical RTS feel" of sitting and waiting for the big guns to fire - while being totally vulnerable to small craft attacks.

Overhauling of single player campaign gameplay, by providing defensive assets for the AI [Vagyr] such that they may mount offensive operations without compromising security of rear elements.

Potentially "defensive offense" dispositions may be implimented, exploiting the use of defensive platforms as standoff fire support assets and having friendly forces operate within their overwatch cover range.

This will make "wild weasel" sorties important to surpress defensive platforms to allow passage of lineships to bombardment range.
