Petrograd: an action-thriller first person shooter. Enter the shoes of a Black-Ops Special Agent, investigating the disappearance of a full city's population overnight. An eerie atmosphere and immersive environments are just the beginning, nothing is quite what it seems in this suspenseful experience set in post-USSR Eastern Europe. The purpose of this project was to create a trailer with near triple-A quality, that goal was achieved on Feb 2009, and thus this project has concluded. The studio has since turned pro and continues to produce commercial games. Thanks for you support.

Report RSS Petrograd - September 10 Update

A quick update on Petrograd and our current progress.

Well good news everybody - we're moving along very quickly now. Our modelers are working hard on all sorts of things - weapons, vehicles, characters, buildings, vegetation, etc.

We have begun working on a playable prototype this week (which means you guys will see some in-game screens in the coming weeks!) We're working on our environments also - trying to make them as detailed as possible - adding normal/bump/specular maps to certain models and making sure the textures work well and look good in the environments.

We're also making sure that everything is optimized so it will be playable on low-spec systems. CryEngine allows for so much detail and cool effects - but we realize that not everybody can play the game on high settings so we are making sure that you guys with lower end systems will be able to play as well. We will also be building the game with the Warhead version of the CryEngine if possible - so hopefully that will help out with any potential performance issues (since the Warhead version of the CryEngine is supposed to be optimized to run more smoothly).

Also - we are currently looking for people to join the team. Modelers are always in demand, and we are also looking for a concept artist. If you're interested - just sign up at Crymod.com and send a PM to 'Jubei'

As always - thanks for all of the continued support and feedback. We appreciate it!
