Pandaemonium is a third person Total Conversion of Half-Life 2 that will have the player guide their character, the Vampiric Mercenary Morthor, through several levels, such as urban sprawls, filled with various humanoid and monstrous enemies to engage in combat. During this, gunplay, tactics and acrobatics will all play an important role. Gunplay will be important, as the best way for the player to 'win', is with superior firepower: avoiding their own death and thus a "Game Over" and killing the enemy first. Basically, their reflexes will be put to the test. Furthermore, certain ammunitions or guns will have an advantage in certain situations; the players will have to figure this out for themselves and this is part of the game. Also, more often than not, Morthor will be outnumbered and will have to survive by superior tactics. Silence from a mod team is either very good or very bad. Either they're working very hard and are too busy to tell the world about their progress or they've disappeared and can't be assed to tell the world about it.

I'm afraid that our case, it's mostly the latter; the Pandaemonium project has stalled in the last few months, as is unfortunately painfully obvious.

I'm afraid I must admit that this has mostly come to pass due to the way I've managed this project; my best wasn't good enough. I was, in the end, too lax and didn't keep enough in mind what the team needed and needs. As a result from the differences Fogmann and I have had about this, she will be leaving for greener pastures after having finished the models she is currently working on.

But, it would be wrong of me to put all of the blame on factors such as this one; in the end it's simply my own fault.

However, the above doesn't mean there's no hope. Team Pandaemonium hasn't become a one-man-show just yet and with the possibility of a merger with a project team, which has new courage, fresh talent and a compatible design, I've still got hope that Pandaemonium will be done one day.

Updates on the merger and the overall status will follow when they're available because at least I, personally, can still be assed about Pandaemonium ;)
