You must have either Patch 84.4 or Patch 86.1u already installed; otherwise, it will not work.
Notes:
- Any previous save that is not in the map select menu is not compatible.
- The Team Deathmatch's scoreboard has been moved to Soul Reaper temporarily. Now it displays the FFA one.
Common:
- CHANGE: The Hell Blade's secondary ammo draining is now a lot faster.
- FIX: Fixed various caching problems.
- FIX: The arrows' fire and smoke will now appear at the head of the arrow instead of the tail of the arrow.

- FIX: PKPerfect no longer works on Nightmare and above difficulties.
- FIX: The Guardian now takes damage from Crossbow's Heads in non-vulnerable spots.
- FIX: You can now damage The Guardian in the shoulders when its limbs are vulnerable.

Does this patch already include the previous one (86.1u) or do I need to download and install both?
Yes, it includes everything from 86.1u (except the bugs), you can install it on top of 84.4 or 86.1u.

I installed this patch (86.2u) and the widescreen HUD fix and it seems that there are some conflicts. I received some error messages when starting the first level after the intro cutscene.

Once I removed the widescreen HUD fix files again those error messages where gone and the first level would load fine again.
Hello, Fixing the Widescreen HUD might be a feature in a future unofficial patch update.
If I won't add it, then I might upload it moddb as a standalone fix for the final version of the unofficial patch.
Those Widescreen fixes usually break multiplayer features. Especially mods with custom HUDs. I think it will be not easy to make a proper Widescreen fix so we'd better wait for the solid solution.

Hello, the unofficial patch touches upon a lot of core things of the game. This was a necessary step due to some very bad/inexperienced design choices that caused issues in the game. To put it short: most things that would work would be Custom Singleplayer Levels.
I plan on updating some requested mods to be compatible with the final version of the unofficial patch when it is done.
