Operation : Takedown is a Single-Player modification for the upcoming and eagerly anticipated game, Doom III. Our main focus is on realism and the kind of fast-paced and involving gameplay expected from a first class FPS. Our mod will offer not only all the important aspects of a regular game, such as an involving and interesting storyline, adrenaline-pumping action and stealthy covert missions requiring quick thinking and awareness, but also a firm grasp on realism. Yes, after 2 months of hosting and website problems, we're finally back in action. Many thanks go to ActionRealm.com and Hunter for generously hosting our site and to Merl for his tireless efforts to rectify the many problems we were having. Visit us here and you can see the new OpTD Site v2.0 in action, complete with CGI integration and a sexy new sidebar ;) The navigation is split up into the three main sections; Site-related items, Mod-related items and Media-related items. A few additions and improvements have been made; there is now an Affiliates page for links and affiliates, a Progress page which details how mod progress is going, the Story page has been finally updated, and the Media sections have a new look.

We were lucky enough to score an interview with Doom3.de, and I've posted a copy of the interview up in our Files section, which you can view by clicking here. The interview details our work over the last few months, progress on the mod, an insight into the workings of Troian Interactive and opinions on a few topics.

Stay tuned to the website and our moddb.com zone, because we'll be releasing some awesome new developments soon!

[EDIT] I forgot to mention one of the best parts of the v2.0 site.. the comment system! Anyone can add a comment by clicking the link at the news header (on the right of the posted date/time) and then typing their preferred name and the comment. Note that we will be moderating all comments, so try and keep anything offensive/malicious to a minimum :)
