The First Sin was a 24 hours challenge trilogy, as all mods in the Occult Clockwork series are.
While the principle of that is neat, and we've done this trilogy together with Umbakarna (and most people liked them as they were), I cannot lie that some things had to be addressed, outside of the previously established time limit.
First, a design and story overhaul:
While I kept the core the same, I introduced new skyboxes instead of colored fog, I filled up leaks looking into the outside of the maps, and I added some fitting models from recent titles.
The story was too ambitious for this amount of gameplay, but I made it a lot better to read, and to make some sense.
If you complete all 3 chapters, I compiled a super secret document for you which explains the basics if you missed them.
Tons of bugs were fixed, the whole project was bugtested by Exesus.
The biggest addition however, and probably the last from this kind of challenge I'm undertaking, is finishing up the long-abandoned third chapter with an open-ish ending, due to the 12 hours time limit previously established. Back then, I couldn't make anything during that time, so I let it go. Now I had a concept, just not enough time to fully expolit it. Still, I'm proud of what I could do in that period.
In the future, you might see a complete trilogy overhaul without any time limit or some sort of continuation. You can still download the original fully time-limited versions under each download's description, but I don't recommend that, they're still the same mods just without the bugs and quality of life improvements.
