Change Log: v2.6
Units: All
Line of Sight or “Fog of War” changed on longest visibility from 1,200 meters to 550 meters after intensive community lobby efforts. This may change in future releases. Intent is to encourage more maneuver and less predictable battles to add more replay value over time.
Units: Factions
Renamed all factions corps in the drop-down menus, resorted as well.
Units: Faction Army
Added Confederate Army of the Valley circa 1864.
Units: Faction Army
Split Confederate Army of Tennessee into: Hardee’s Corps and Polk’s Corps circa December 1863. New special infantry added to Polk’s Corps.
Units: Faction Army
Added Union Pennsylvania Reserve Corps circa late-1862.
Units: Artillery
Added Pegram’s Battery to Confederate III Corps as elite unit with higher stats.
Units: Artillery
*Special Thanks to the Empire Total War mod team of “The Blue & The Gray” for their weapon models. Some models were re-scaled by me to create various caliber versions.
Added: 32-pound Siege and Garrison Cannon models; 42-pound Siege and Garrison Cannon models; Rodman Garrison Cannon model; 24 and 32-pound Howitzer models; Whitworth; 10-Inch Mortar; and 20-pound Parrott model. Adjusted individual cannon ammunition type ranges, see Unit information for details.
Units: Artillery
Set Union 6-gun batteries to a maximum of (1) per army. Increased costs.
Units: Artillery
Adjusted deviation of all Howitzer shells to slightly higher.
Units: Cavalry
Early CSA cavalry units changed weapon model to Enfield Musketoon.
Units: Icons
Updated/replaced various unit icons.
Units: Infantry
Archer’s Brigade added to Confederate III Corps
Units: Infantry
Stonewall Brigade, 2 units added to Confederate First Manassas Army
Units: Infantry
33rd Virginia and new Stonewall units in Confed Manassas Army set as “Star” units which “Inspire Allies”.
Units: Infantry
Confederate Zouave Army: set three units to “Star” units.
Units: Infantry
Union Zouave Army: added 23rd PA as “Star” unit.
Units: Infantry
Adjusted unit walk and run speeds to tier with their “Training” stats.
Units: Leaders
All Generals now have Inspire and Rally abilities. Note that the “Stars” on the lower left of the unit’s card indicate the amount of Morale influence they contribute to friendly local units. It may be worth the extra gold to get a General with higher star rating.
Units: Skirmishers and Sharpshooters
Reduced morale from 15 to 5 as units are holding up beyond expectations in melee. Light Infantry skirmish formation reduces casualties and balances numbers.
Units: Skirmishers
Extended range to 180 (new projectile type) to allow more diversity with use. Reduced melee skill.
Units: Cavalry
Full overhaul on all Cavalry units. Added Vidette, Early-war, Mid-war, and Late-war units to most factions. Reduced unit sizes, tweaked stats individually to period and CSA vs USA. House rules strongly suggested on limits per army.
Units: Cavalry
Removed “light_infantry_behavior” from all Cavalry as it was causing crashing due to animation issues if the mounted unit was in this formation then stopped moving.
Units: Wilder’s Brigade
Melee weapon changed to “rifle_butt”; reduced charge and melee stats to discourage use as shock/heavy cavalry in charge/attack. This unit fought as mounted infantry, not cavalry. Accuracy reduced to “20”.
Maps:
Corrected bugs with standard maps: McPherson’s Ridge, Barlow’s Knoll and Marye’s Heights. All now load; buildings present for Barlow’s Knoll.
Maps:
Dranesville added
Five Forks added
Monocacy added
New Market added
New Market Heights/Chaffin’s Farm added
Port Republic, corrected deployment zones facings
Espectacular la nueva version, ya la estoy usando, en un futuro estaria bueno hacer los generales confederados como realmente eran.
felicito al equipo gran logro
Why you delete my comment? You weren't help me and you just delete it! That's a shame! Why this file is broken and I can't download this?! I tried 5 times!
As I reply, again, there are 627 downloads. Only you have ab issue. The file package is fine. It is something on your part. No other users have reported a problem.
I see not only I have this problem. User before me get it, too. I believe that is my problem, but I write this comment to ask you what I have to do? I can download any other moddb mod and I haven't got this problem.
Winrar version 5.50 was used to pack these files. If you cannot access the download, there is nothing more I can do for you. Any prior user issues were either due to not allowing the full download to complete or using a tool that could not open the files. Stop spamming this thread with the same post over and over again. Find someone to download it for you.
Thanks for reply. Fantastic mod :)

I just tried to download 2.6 NTW. MinionWorkz screen shows then goes to game screen which has CW photo but game links, sound etc is all Napoleon. My new TWN is definitive edition. Does that matter.
It doesn't have a scripts folder just some script files. Please advise Thanks!!
The install steps are the same for all editions. Please read the User Guide. If you need a scripts folder, create on in the correct location, as described in the guide.

Another great American Civil War experience for Napoleon: Total War.
I don't seem to have an AppData folder. I feel like this is odd. I followed the pathway outlined in the User Guide PDF. Do you have advice?
This is a bit late but you have to enable 'Hidden Items' in File Explorer it is under the 'View' tab.
next time when doing an installation video do the actual installation it might help a lot more than just saying you have already installed it step by step will help people a lot more than this video just saying

In summary .
the video in relation to the installation of v 2.5 would be the same as 2.6
It's just a detail, but are you planning to add uniforms to individual regiments?
Did you mean to ask about individual flags, and not uniforms? If so, they are not very practical and I doubt that will be done. New Zouave units are possible in future updates as I have some completed but not currently released.
Magnificent work. Truly beautiful.
A civil war mod with lots of actual content. This makes up for inability to mod the campaign map. Thanks for the mod :)
I've been trying for like two days and it simply does not work. My files aren't corrupted, have installed them fresh new twice and followed the instructions on the video. Is there something I might be doing wrong....some file I must also delete in this case?
You'd have to clearly define what does not work. I assume you mean you click the icon the game starts then goes to desktop. I've answered that several times. If that's the issue, it's covered in the install steps. Best to do this... delete the boot.psck file. Start the game. If it starts, exit, If a new boot file was created, delete it again. Drag in the acw boot file. Restart. You should be good.

i download file and it auto opens my windows media center for some reason?
The file is made with winrar 5.5. Download that and the file will open.
Hey, I'd like to say... your mod is freaking awesome man! I'm quite interested into the time period of 1840-1910 and by god this mod just scratch that itch of being in the time. I love the combat system as well.
Though, I found a little problem when selecting the scenario Fort Wagner, the game just freezes and after 5-10 seconds, CTD with no error. Are you aware of this? I am using the ACW 2.6 btw
Sorry about that, it is on the fix list for 2.7
The graphics for the loading screen are right but the actual game is not. Am I doing something wrong and if so how do I fix it.
Please go thru the user guide step by step. It sounds like you missed placing the user.script file in the proper location.
Hey so I was attempting to download ACW mod, and something strange happened with the menu, the game booted up with the initial ACW logo loading screen, and the main menu had a background of Civil War, however the menu’s options were Napoleon’s options, not ACW. Process for downloading was Install clean Napoleon game.Download the mod, extract all the ACW_ files to ACW folder in /data for Napoleon, move those files to /data, delete boot pack, move UserScripts to the scripts folder in Napoleon, the one under The Creative Assembly, that being under %appdata%,.
Please go thru the user guide step by step. It sounds like you missed placing the user.script file in the proper location.

This works with mod-manager correct? Because I still want to play Napoleon III sometimes as well
Yes, it should work with that app
Doesn't really seem to, unticked all the ACW files and it wouldn't load. So I guess just gonna have to delete files and unzip when I am gonna play ACW

Wtf happened to the colored divisions? I was gonna use 54th massechusets for fort wagner (for obvious reasons) and it wasn't there :(
