In Nightmare House 2 you wake up inside an abandoned hospital with no understanding of how you came to be there, only a vague memory of the girl from Nightmare House haunts you. Soon it will be difficult to determine between a dream and reality. How long will it take you to realize that escape is not an option?
Nightmare House 2 turns away from being a horror game half way through the game, and instead plays like an action-adventure game plagued with jump-scares. Said jump-scares aren't even well done, and throughout my playthrough of the game I was only spooked 1-3 times. Final boss was terrible, the amount of flickering lights raped my eyes to the point I almost prematurely uninstalled, and there's over 100 bloody times falling through a floor serves to forward the plot.
For a mod that gets such high praise I was thoroughly disappointed. The only reason I'm giving it a 3/10 is due to the fact that the enemies were uniquely skinned, and I was able to slog through it without prematurely uninstalling.
