Never Ending Journey combines the worlds of Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal and Icewind Dale. It adds a series of quests in the main storyline of BGII: ToB, that unfold in the world of Icewind Dale. There, the player meets known heroes and villains and after the completion of the quests he/she returns in the BGII: ToB world to continue the game. In order for the mod's quests to be activated, you have to enter the portal that is located north of Irenicus's dungeon. So, you can use a save around that location or start the game from scratch. I just want to preserve the file with respect to the creator because old links usually don't work.
