Modern Dead is, fundamentally, a psychological horror game that allows the player to immerse oneself in the game. This includes hand gestures in dialogue, first-person rag-doll’s, and head-bob when sprinting. The game is designed to push the engine to the limit with an open, life-like map, and enemies that have different AI as the game progresses. -- Modern Dead takes place in a small town in Canada, Bc. The town has been quarantined and the people inside doomed to rot. You play a 19 year old pothead named Bryce Turner, Bryce still being in grade 12 wakes up one morning after a party late for school. When we gets there military vehicles are parked around the school and him and his classmates report the the gym for examination. I don't think a survivor would listen to an Ipod/Mp3 player in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. He couldn't hear the next enemy coming from behind and shredding him to pieces. Also those headphones looks a bit cheesy on him (I don't want to say gay, but they are)
Who said he would? it simple a form of entertainment he would indulge himself in during those "down times" when he isn't fighting off the infected masses, after all it is quite silly to obstruct one of the key senses when on the move. Also as a background, music could of been apart of his life during his hacking years, something to get him going, something to inspire him.
As far as the design for the headphone that is subject to change, these are after all concepts and none of these are set in stone yet, I thought it would be neat to see the slow progression from concept to concept, to illustrate the thought process and how it evolved through time.

I think he looks awsome with an Ipod. Gives a zombieland/shaun of the dead non-serious feel to it. Besides, anyone looks awsome bludgeoning zombies to death while listening to metallica!
