Metal A Quake Modifcation Created by Arthur (Fox -AJ-) Phelps What is Metal? Metal is an attempt to bring some of the gameplay aspects of Metal Gear Solid (Mainly the agent versus the big group of enemies, and perhaps some stealth-like gameplay) to Quake. However it isn't supposed to be just "Metal Gear Solid Quake." The idea is to be Quake with more of military-realisim-ish aspect to it. It's hard to say, since there was no one goal from the beginning to achieve. I released it, just like I said I would! I am pretty proud that I made my deadline.

Anyway, here's a quick overview of what's in it:

*New Map - The new map is "Jungle CTF." Two forts, and a jungle between them. It was my first attempt at making a jungle, and I would say it didn't come out too bad, although, it probably could be improved.

*A few tweaks to the previous Metal: Tower 1 (mtltr1) map. Mostly, I changed the gametype on that map to Offensive-Defensive CTF, which is pretty much what the gametype was supposed to be anyway.

*Adjusted the size of the magazine and casing models that dropped when reloading or shooting- they were too small before. Also, redid the casing model for the pistol... just small things.

*Adjusted all the metal "droppies" (casings, grenade pins, etc.) to prevent them from screwing up the game.

*New HUD graphics. No more classic Quake HUD on Metal. Sorta. New graphics, but I didn't move things around. Also, new fonts. I still have to tweak the fonts some, though.

*Darkened the Console background. It was just too hard to see on Win- and GLQuake.

*A different Famas skin, not really a much better one, but at least it's not grainy. I think a whole new Famas model is needed.

*The CTF plugin readme has been included, worth a read. (ctfreadme.txt)

*Other Tweaks and Edits I can't remember...
