This is the plugin version of the older Median XL, so you don't have to worry about replacing files or any of that hassle, so you easily switch between mods. Median XL Ultimative is already compatible as a D2SE plugin.

is this an older version reposted for the mod manager? or is this the latest version? all the downloads thats been posted the past few days are really confusing as the versions seem to be randomly numbered
I believe X(I) or whatever the version name is the latest. All the others are obsolete (?) versions of Ultimative which in itself is an addon to this version of the MedianXL. So if you want an expanded version of MedianXL just extract the Ultimative X(I) file into your D2SE mods folder. Or if you only want Brother Laz' changes to the game, install this one.
It should be D2SE/Mods/MedianXL/
