MD - Can't tell you how psyched i was to see rebalance still alive and available after all these years (+12 yrs). Cant remember what my tag was way back in the day (probably something dumb like redbeard or whatever) but i definitely remember you being a very gracious and supportive host when i used to pop in and play on the servers :)

As for compatibility, my dad finally relented his OOOLD WinXP system to me months ago and i've been playing Rebalance 3.57 SP only with no issues.

Hope you're doing well and thanks again for keeping this MOD alive, best ever :)

Hello guys, I am the creator of the original FL Rebalance Mod, Michael Dan(MD).

If you you want to play the Single Player Campaign please use Rebalance Mod v3.56, not the RC4 as this one is indented for Multiplayer only!
The Rebalance v3.56 was tested and optimized for Single Player Campaign and it works well end to end within it!
It will bring a lot of diversity to the game, with new ships, weapons, new types of missions and a brand new starter ship, armed with Archangel MkI's Tier 7 Laser guns.

It is possible to play it with Freelancer HD 0.6, but the installation is a bit tricky. Basically you need to install the 3.56 mod in Vanilla Freelancer folder with FLMM 2.0e, install Freelancer HD 0.6, which will take the original FL folder and copy it in another location. Then uninstall the mod from the vanilla FL folder and reinstall it in the Freelancer HD folder also with FLMM. Please set and use use 1600x1200 resolution in Freelancer HD for best compatibility with Rebalance 3.56.
Also you will need to copy the original cursor.txm file from c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\SCREENS\ to your Freelancer HD folder, as the updated one won't work within Rebalance.
I will try to make a tutorial for installation and upload it here as soon as possible.
In the meantime enjoy the SP Campaign with the Rebalance 3.56 mod!

Hey MD,

If you need anything, just let me know!

You got me looking at it again :P
I think i have tracked down the bug in Rc4 which caused singleplayer to be "un-playable"... i will test it some more and hopefully have an updated release out very soon!

Hey Tanjitsu, it's great to hear from you, how are you? I see already there is a 3.57 version with the fix released, nice work! I plan to do an overhaul of the SP campaign in terms of ships and missions, so keep in touch about that. All the best from old 2nd Lieutenant MD!

Having an issue with it crashing when I launch to space after the initial cutscenes and talking with Juni for the first time. Running Windows 10, latest updates, Fresh install, ran both part one and part two and applied a screen resolution fix (Jason's Freelancer Patch DLL Version 1.25) just to get the screen to work with my wide screen resolution. Any ideas?

Hi every body as players were having difficulty logging in i have reset the server, to log in all you now need to do is use flmm1.31 and set for normal difficulty and choose your char during set up. The role play starts are still in the game and can be chosen by any new char by using the /dots and /restart commands. Or as a normal rebalance start buy rep from one of the NPC chars in the bar and go to their shipyard and buy a starting ship from them.

Tryed to play different version of Rebalance. And i cannot choose which version of mod is much stable?Version like 3.56,3.55,3.50 have so much thing that i cannot understand(some easy example why in SP Trent get few cool weapons on his first ship?it is not balance it is unbalance).

Now i playing a little with rebalance 3.40.pretty good start(no Overpowered weapons in starter ship, and normal ship at start).Yes 3.40 lacks many intresting ships(firebase ship pack and much other)but it seems it much pretty stable.

panzer225 to brolee-In ALL mods of freelancer, the easiest way to blow up the enemy is to have at least one kind of weapon in each weapons slot, like slot one a laser, slot two a pulse weapon, slot three a neutron gun, slot four a mass driver.Since most mods only allow only ONE kind of shield can be used, then having multiple kinds of weapons will have an advantage over your enemies. In Rebalanced 3.55 and beyond the are ships that have TWO shield slots, and there are a couple of ships that can carry all three kinds of shields!!
