Currently, our coding is on hold until the release of the Episode 2 SDK. However, before we stopped, OneEyed was working on a new movement system that allows for much more control and more realistic kart movement. The Ep2 SDK hasn't stopped us from working on other areas.
We're proud to release some new characters along with some updated ones. Please remember, that all "Stats" are not final and are subject to change.
We've also been busy updating our maps. Here are some shots of the improved Double Deck, as well as the new Banshee Boardwalk and Peach's Garden.

Why shouold EP2 a requirement?
I guess it's build upon Source SDK Base - meaning that you can play it if you have any Source-game, doesn't matter.

This looks fantastic! brings back lots of memories already :).
Although I think you should probably tidy up the mario model, it is a tad blocky and the texture is somewhat fuzzy.
A bit strange to see Half-Life 2 like textures and skybox in some maps, but overall its very pretty and true to Mario Style. Didn't expect Mario and Co to look that good on Source! Great work on the character models!
I think the Mario model needs some work other then that its looking good :)

dunno what happened i think its the wrong picture.
No it's the good picture, but Mario is difficult to make, and it's the most important character (because it's MARIO kart).
To please the MKS Community i'll redo entirely the mario model. I've just reshaped the old model (you can see the older ugly one here : Moddb.com so that reshaping is not so bad) because of existing animations, doing that i wasn't free to do what i wanted. But with all your comment the mario model will be redone in a closer future.
