Experience some of the fiercest battles of WWII across North Africa with Mare Nostrum. Building on the realistic, tactical game play that made Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 a fan favourite, Mare Nostrum lets players battle it out in an all new theatre of war. Featuring British, Australian, German and Italian nations, choose from a range of authentic weaponry or crew 1 of 10 fully realised vehicles. With 8 different battle environments the game play is varied from gritty street to street fighting in urban surroundings, to all out tank warfare in the open desert. This is North Africa, but not like you have seen it before. On the 17th October 2008, Mare Nostrum became the first, third party game MOD to be made available on Steam.

Hello all, we trust you all had a very Merry Christmas.

Unfortunately I did not get around to posting our November or December press releases on Moddb so here they are in form of a belated Christmas present!

In the November Tunis Telegraph we improved our media shots into a new clearer and attractive style. We also released screenshots of the skinned Lee Enfield No.1 MkIII*, M1935 Browning and Universal Carrier. Elsewhere we had the ‘Developer Spotlight’ focusing on our Mapper Rex.

In this month’s December Tunis Telegraph we are delving deep into the development team to take a look at the people responsible for bringing you all Mare Nostrum’s audio to your speakers. We feature a sample of weapon sounds (Including the Sten Mk II and Pattern 14 Sniper Rifle) and British Voice Comms, all available fro download in our downloads section on the website!

We also have the newly textured British Sticky Bomb and Daimler Mk 1 Armoured Car! Our Developer Spotlight focuses on Desert Fox, our weapon sound technician.
