MapMixer is designed to give you more control over the way you launch and manage your game session in Unreal Tournament 3. It replaces the the game's Main Menu and let's you launch either a quick-offline match or a complete session where every map is specifically customised - or randomised. It's a whole new way to manage your UT3 experience.
This is a minor full release version containing some bug fixes from the 3.01 release. I've had this version kicking around for a few years. The announcement of the new UT game jogged my memory.
Great work Sinx, thanks for the update. I'm using MM since the early versions. If you look in UTmapmixer.ini I found the iVersionNumber is 300 instead of 303. In my 3.01 version it was 301. I think that cause no problems but you should informed about that. I hope some day a version of Mapmixer is shown up in UT2014. :) -ravenclaw
Sinx,
Still a great game and a great mod. Can't run UT3 without Mapmixer. It's hard to believe this game still looks great all these years later.
You should post your mod here also Gamemaps.com
Originally it was just L4D but now supports many games.
Hi! So I hear this is amazing but I can't for the life of me get it to work 0.0 I edit the UTEnginr line or the DefaultEngine line and properly extract the files in the appropriate place. When I launch the game I go to the default menu, but launchif and when I start a session the MapMixer loads up fine. What gives?
Hello,
your mod is great, but I encounter a very annoying behavior in every map in a single player session but the first. All bots appear as male ironguard in full armor instead of their original models and voices. Am I missing a setting or is this a bug?
Thanks, Dansen
I encountered the same issue. Even changing "max custom chars" in MapMixer settings to highest value did not change anything.
What an fantastic mod!
Is this fully compatible with the newest foxMod? (which is currently in version 0.8)
I love local couch gaming and but I would like to use your mod as well but currently I experience an bug when two players play and they're far zoom out (almost like third person mode).
Could you allow controller control for your mod?
This would be really great!
Currently I've to use my mouse if I have to navigate throw the menus which is annying...
I've also experience some weird problem when I play two or three player, the field of view is weird and I have to press start and go back to the game and it's fixed then.
Does this have to do with your mod?
Would be cool if this would get somehow fixed (of course I've asked the foxhud creator about this problem too).
I've took screenshots about this problem, maybe they can help.

Hi, I installed this mod on my server. But a problem occurred.
After the match, it does not start the next match.
Does anyone know how to avoid this problem?

Fantastic Work! This keeps me anf my old group of players alive! is there a chance to recieve the manual? There are so many options...;-)
After following installation instructions to the letter i'm still seeing vanilla UI for some reason. Could someone help me out here?
A similar thing happened to me too I can suggest you check the UTEngine.ini file, the one you find in the folder:
C: \ Users \ username \ Documents \ My Games \ Unreal Tournament 3 \ UTGame \ Config ... and to the URL entry add the string
LocalMap = UTFrontEnd_MapMixer.ut3
;LocalMap = UTFrontEnd.ut3

Maybe it's a bit late to ask for help, however Mapmixer is really useful, the only thing I couldn't understand is why when I try to do team deathmatch with custom skins I always get the default skins.
More precisely:
I try to create teams with various skins, and I noticed that if I have a custom skin, the other teammates and opponents all have the same default skin.
If instead I select an original skin of the game (like Iron guard, reaper etc.) and for the others a custom skin, then it loads them all right, but I stay with a default skin.
I've even tried as a spectator and the skins load them correctly, but if I enter the game with a custom skin, everyone else has the same default skin.
This does not happen in regular Deathmatch, only Team Deatmatch.
In any case, Mapmixer is a really nice mod. even with this small flaw.
Rectification:
I found a solution, the problem is not related to Mapmixer but to the game itself.
In Epic's forum search for "UT3 Community Edition Update (2020)", it is a set of solutions for a clean install of UT3 and also includes a Mutator to avoid the tedious skin problem, it's called "No More Demo Guy".
