Looks great as usual, though the front barrel part (between the end and the gun chamber) looks a little flat?
You mean the foregrip? That's to save triangles - actually modeling all those foregrip ribs in would be amazingly wasteful and unoptimized.
It would, but it also sticks out like a very sore thumb compared to the rest of the sharp textures. Although, the nicks and scratches on the grip actually seem to be as sharp as the rest... it's just the rims themselves that are blurry...?
I figure they could just get a sharp bump map for that part of the gun, yeah?

The "mass" version should be the M4. Just my 2c ofc :)
M4A1 shouldn't really be, gun laws prohibit all automatic and most semi automatic weapons in these parts, but M16A2 appears a lot on black market since it is quite outdated. I doubt M4A1 would appear, it is quite hard to find even illegally.
I agree with you, although your picture is of an A1. I think an M16A1 would be more than welcome here also, as it seems they are being phased out by many third-world militaries, and as such may have entered the black market. But yes, if there's going to be a grenade launcher, it needs to be on a different model to properly show the handguard that attaches to the M203.
Yeah, my pic is showing A1. I always preferred A1 for some reason :D There's some old school vibe about it. Maybe its because I love the Vietnam war era.
vol4ok, that's not what I was aiming for at all. The M16A2 is a gorgeous rifle in my opinion, and the 1980s US Army/Marine infantry look is especially appealing to me. I haven't ever seen a Call of Duty game or mod that simulates that time period, but correct me if I'm wrong.
Black ops II had a section during the invasion of Panama,but the troops had original USAF M16s without even forward assists.
