This version of the LOUD Project Installer is dated April 30, 2019. As well as installing the LOUD Project in parallel with your existing Forged Alliance, it will keep it up to date, allow you to launch the game, and create desktop shortcuts for LOUD, all from the installer.
This version (4.57) has added to the 'Tools' menu an option to open the list the updates required for your LOUD installation without actually downloading them. Those files can then, if you wish, be manually downloaded and installed from the OneDrive folder where various LOUD files are stored, including the updater program, utilities, maps(not LOUD supported), and the LOUD zip file which will be updated monthly and can be used for a manual installation (this feature was added to version 4.55).
WARNING: The installer is created using AutoIt which can be misreported as malware by some antivirus programs. You may need to make an exclusion in your AV software in order to use or download this file. The installer file must be placed into your Supreme Commander Forged Alliance directory, and run as the administrator.
The installer will create a LOUD directory inside your current installation of Supreme Commander Forged Alliance, so that your original installation will be untouched. This allows you to use the LOUD Project independently of your original installation of Forged Alliance. LOUD is launched either thru this utility, or thru the shortcuts it can create for you. Your original version of the game is still launched either via Steam or your original shortcut.
On it's initial installation, the LOUD Project will perform a VERY significant download, since the LOUD Project has many differences from the original. However, once installed, updates are minor, usually involving only a small number of files.
Once complete, you should use the installer to keep LOUD updated on a regular basis. You can use the installer to launch LOUD or use it to create desktop shortcuts, both for the installer/updater and for LOUD itself. Note: If you wish to play the Steam version of Supreme Command Forged Alliance, you must use Steam, or the shortcut provided by them, to start your game.
