Today's update is focused on the Dragoons and Chevauxlegers of the Austrian Empire. They made up the basic firelock-armed cavalry of the Kaiser's Imperial Army.
Although equipped similarly, they represent different roles within the army. Dragoons being a cross between heavy cavalry of old and the mounted infantry that would become the norm in the 19th century. Chevauxlegers, on the other hand, were considered light cavalry, used where speed and mobility was important.
In other news, coding is going well. I've recently been working on replacing the melee fights of the arena with illegal, underground prizefighting where one can fight man-to-man and earn cash rewards and extra renown.
