A Half-Life 2 mod
This is just a warning to all you mod leaders out there. First let me say be mindful to who has FTP to your site, as you will see below is a letter (spelling mistakes and all, 100% intact) from one pissed off webmaster to 2 others, because FTP was taken away from everyone but the team lead. This was a policy put in place by myself as Webhost HalfLife-Mods.com, after a few issues with FTP account’s. Well r3men4nt, one of the webmaster at the Jurassic Rage mod did not like that. So he bitched and complained about that for the last month or so, until he got a great idea. So he thought. Below is the letter he wrote to the other webmasters of JR. Spelling mistakes and all, it is 100% intact, un-edited.
I just thought (since your a fellow webmaster) that I would tell both of you (being elkz and Korderious) I'm switching hosts.
This way we get full C-Panel access full control everything but oe condition we must have, DO NOT TELL ANYONE ESPECIALLY HUGO. Hugo will not have any access what so ever to this site he will have a news posting account, and a limited ftp account (upload only). No more of this no the webmaster can do anything shit.
So I hope you support me on this and if so do not tell anyone I will only make the switch once i convince hugpo to give me ftp access temporarily to download the forums to make a new skin then i will upoad the forums onto my new host and the new site without telling hugo he will only know when he goes to connect to the ftp and sees nothing.
Hugo can come after me all he wants conidering jurassic rage is not a legal entity and I own the .com domain and control the host. I dont care what it might do to the team if that fucker tries to send legal shit after me i take the whole thing down the site forusm everything.
As you can see there be warned about who you grant access to your FTP, it may bite you in the ass.
The site is now back to the original URL Jurassicrage.halflife-mods.com seeing that the webmaster that was released from the team owned the URL Jurassicrage.com. Please update your bookmarks, and we Hope this will never happen to you.

yeah he is, we got rid of him as soon as we found out, and we wanted to post this up as a warning to everyone.
Good, it would be horrible to let something like this drag down such an exceptional team. JR is gonna rock and this lamer is gonna be crying at night all by himself over what a moron he was for getting his butt kicked off the team!
Good riddance to bad rubbish. I'm glad you posted this though, my mod is re-working it's FTP Policy because of it.

I have found webmasters tend to feel that they have to do "Everything" ours just left *Thank God* he kept deleted our stuff and etc so now we have to find a new one... but we have to be very very careful and tahnsk.

Nothing wrong with Dracten, they are 2 diff sites, one does not do with the other, as far as the sites.
But we have alot to do with eachother. If he does somthing stupid, Dracten is soon to follow. :(
Nope, he cant he is not with JR any more, and he cant access your stuff, only people who can is Myself, and quasar no other HL-Mods staff has full access to the server. If you have any questions, you can always IM me at HLM Timmay.
Pheeeeewww, I'm glad you got this sorted out (and cought him in time)... If you hadn't, who knows what would have become of this very promising mod... Kudos to you guys, for handling this like real men :)
I'm gonna make sure that all our files at the DrugWars ftp are totally secure (although we have such a close-knit team, and I really trust them all)
