This project is the continuation of our work in Warband crusade MOD "In the Name of Jerusalem". We will continue to extend and improve the old settings. The new campaign map will expand to the Upper Danube, the Nile Delta, the Dinaric Alps, and Transcaucasia. The Bulgarian Empire and Grand Principality of Serbia will be added. Kingdom of Georgia, the Saltukids and the Artuqids (probably Eldiguzids) may comes later. The timeline still starts from 1187, but we will try to add more interesting historical events until 1204 - including the Fourth Crusade.
Beautiful
Why didn`t add a crown on his helmet?
This is based on his own seal. I think nobody will wearing a highly expensive, ceremonial use helmet to charge into a chaotic battlefield, especially Richard, who likes to lead the charge......
Actually agree with Sinoknight a bit here. Love your work as usual, respect that the aim is realism but would've been a tab bit nice to add one or two small details to Richard here. As in the images below. A red/crusader themed overcoat above the chainmail perhaps and - maybe - a slightly more decorated war helmet. After all, he was the King. I'm sure he might've worn a uniform more befitting of his prestige on the battlefield. Not saying it has to be a peacock, but definitely noticeable if you saw him on the battle line.

Thanks man but I don't want to do this mod like the stereotype of most people. I want to do it more historical, this is my main source of inspiration, King Richard's own seal

Looking at the seal, i think Richard is actually using a Tabard over his mailcoat
Good call, too many fantasy mods out there. Historical accuracy and authenticity is a rarity among games. Which is why this mod would be superior to other mods as it's focus should be on historical accuracy and not biased like Hollywood, who likes to release movies like 300 right before a modern military action in a region in order to push a narrative to help favor a particular paradigm. If it wasn't for historians who knew how to document the past, much of that history would have been lost by the hands of those whom wish to purge the truth from existence and anything and anyone who threatens their megalomania idealistic agendas.
In fact, the model photos you sent me look more like the age of Henry III and Edward I.
Ah! Fair point, thanks for the explanation. Wasn't aware of that and it was pretty insightful. So forgive me there. Otherwise, look forward to playing this final product! Take care
It doesn't matter, my friend, if you guys can learn more interesting knowledge about this period from INJ game, I will also be very happy!
Was richard actually ginger?
Will there be Philip Augustus of France too?
Hello. the heraldry is not the right one: here it is the duchy of Normandy and not that of the kingdom of England and one coast of arms with English colors will be welcome. good luck
Richard himself was the Duke of Normandy. These two face to face lions are showing on his first seal. This is it

Feel like he should be wearing a heraldic surcoat he is of course the king of England, and so far as I know, these were in fashion at the time for knights and kings.
this model is going to look great without a head lol!

#Allahuakbar!
Great work. Might I just suggest that his name should be "Richard the Lionheart" or equivalently "Richard Coeur de Lion" in French.
Alternatively we can call him "Richard Plantagenet" applying his dynastic surname.
If we must use that "de" in the middle of his name, the right way would be "Richard d'Angleterre", meaning "of England" in French. In any case, the surname "de Lionheart" simply doesn't exist in history :)
