The power of not fixing bugs
I've been working hard lately trying to finish up a release. But I just couldn't resist the temptation of adding new things instead of fixing bugs. The first thing I added was Iron Sights. This wasn't even that hard thanks to some good reference material and the fact that I already implemented half of the code earlier on. I was surprised about how much such a small change added to the overall experience, it seemed like a completely different game. A better game that is! Anyway, after the Iron Sights I added scopes as well to make it complete.
Laser Forcefields activated
Before I had some kind of weird sticky laser thing but that wasn't good enough, so I decided to create laser forcefield emitters. You simply place 2 or more poles on the ground and the poles will find each other and create laser beams between them. Enemy forces will be instantly incinerated while friendly troops can simply walk through without being hurt. If you want to see what I'm talking about, simply go to the images section and look for yourself.
One step closer
With most of the features bugless (well more or less), all what needs to be done is fixing the maps. I am working hard to make sure these mission maps are actually fun to play, which is harder then I thought. Luckily all standard deathmatch maps also work with RSF which is a lot of fun as well! When the maps are finished, I might release a closed beta first if there are enough beta testers. If you would like to beta test this mod sent me a PM.
(For those who didn't notice, I updated the mod summary with a class overview.)
