An improved version of Heroes of Might and Magic 4. Unlike the Greatest Mod, this mod preserves all factions as they were in the original game. Now with more abilities and spells for creatures and heroes alike. This also includes more map objects, better icons, a graphics overhaul and filtering. Additionally, there are remastered campaigns for the original H4 and both of its expansions.
Just want to echo what Albyx said in his review. Nimostar is a certified thief, as his first v9 update was deleted from moddb.
User beware. Only a small portion of H4 Ultimate was actually done by the author. He just uses the work of others and tries to deceive folks into thinking he has done everything.
It would be generous to say 10% of this work was done by nimostar. H4MS and the creature abilities plugin were written by RoseKavalier (all nimostar did was edit a config file with the abilities).
Getting his AI creations into the game files only takes a few seconds using tools written by another modder.
Edit. And now his re-upload of the same thing for v9 was deleted, as well as the rest of his uploads with work he no longer had permission to use and refused to remove.
Author of this mod NimoStar steals other modders work without their concent and without mentions in credits. Next he attaches patreon and paypal links and claims work of others as his own to make people donate. Proof of this is the fact latest update V9 got removed from ModDB.
Beware! Author Nimostar delete all criticism of mod. Could be Trojan virus!

I've been wondering for a long time if there is a mod for H4 (besides H4 Equi and HD mod, and here it is)!
Hats off my friend, you have created a very high quality work! Although it's still weird with all the new things in it (especially the new abilities), but it will take some time to get used to it.
What stands out the most from the mod is that the game itself is much nicer in HD mode, plus the colors are better, and some of the recoloring is really nice. My favorite is the red colored castle of life. very cool.
The other thing that really stands out from the crowd is the remastered campaigns, which I've just started, and I have to say they are amazing! Not to mention the amount of maps that have been added and translated. Thanks!
I love everything else, the new creatures, spells, balancing and new strategy you can use now with thosw!
Not to mention all the new portraits, icon transformations and the Ultimate tutorial!

many new abilities wow
When i saw notes with changes for the first time i was very unsure about this mod (many changes in spells which was weird for me, many changes on units which was at the first look quite bad) But when i launched campaign i get a lot of fun from this refreshed mod. I play exactly same heroes 4 as i know very well but with many changes which made this game much more fresh. Realy great mod if you want some changes but not play diffrent game. I very lika many of new icons, changes in units looks, changes in abilities, balance and many other things. I miss only boosting heroes defense and magic resistance with some levels. I don't like only some of new icons for spell so far, it looks veird a bit, but it is nothing game breaking. I really recommend this mod :)
