The Great War is a WW1 total conversion for Hearts of Iron IV.

I know it's a WIP, but I just want to make sure you wont call it the German Reich upon release
We haven't made a choice yet because there are several possible choices. (Germany, Deutsches Reich, German Reich or German Empire)
Looking good. If you ask me i think you should call it "Deutsches Kaiserreich." I personally like country names in the native language.
Ok, then what is "Austria-Hungary"'s native name, since it had 2 political, but in the army and navy german was language of command. And also had different names especially in the Kingdom of Hungary.
Personally i prefer the language of the game over native.

To all this "country name" discussion, the solution is very easy, the creators can name the all countries by their "official name" (i.e British Empire, German Empire, French Republic, Kingdom of Italy, Kingdom of Spain, Russian Empire, etc...) or just by their usual/common names (Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Russia, etc...). Combining both formal and common names would look just weird.
German Empire would sound the most historically accurate.
We also believe it. That's why German Empire is our final choice.

Why not the German Reich can be Kaiserreich, Weimar Republic and Third Reich so?
Cuz Reich means Empire in german.
It wasn't the Weimarer Republik, and not the third reich...
Wut mate the Kaiserreich was also called Deutsches Reich.
Reich means realm mate.
Since we won't be seeing an "Austro-Hungarian Empire" nor an "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland", I don't see why we should have an "German Empire" (or "German Reich", I mean it looks as weird as "Deutsches Empire").
The guys from this country and from other countries had a single, beautiful, well-known name for it: G-E-R-M-A-N-Y. That would be my choice.
Reich in the history of Germany specifically, it is used to refer to:
1)the German Empire (Deutsches Reich or Deutsches Kaiserreich), which lasted from the unification of Germany in 1871 until its collapse after World War I, during the German Revolution of 1918–1919;
2)the Weimar Republic of 1919–1933 continued to use Deutsches Reich as its official name;
3)Nazi Germany, the state often referred to as the Third Reich, which lasted from the Machtergreifung in 1933 until the End of World War II in Europe in 1945.

A last time german Reich officially from 1871-1945 even if it was during during 1919 and 1933 called Weimarer Republik it was still called german Reich not german republic if you dont know that fine
That is false as the Weimar Republic is not considered one of the 'Reichs' as they abolished Monarchism.
Dont tell a german false stuff about his countries history german EMPIRE OR REICH 1871-1945.

Actually, the 'First Reich' was the Holy Roman Empire which lasted from 962 to 1815. The Weimar Republic was never considered on of the 'Reichs.'

Looks good, however I believe British Empire should be called United Kingdom because also France was a colonial empire, yet with a real emperor (although kings of Britain were known also as Indian Emperors, but it was officially named the United Kingdom).
Also Austria-Hungary in white color and Russia in green would be nice, like in the previous games.
I think Austrian-Hungary should be white instead of pink
just wanted to nitpick, but the espen province in belgium belonged to the german empire. (its the one above luxembourg)
You should add Kingdom of Spain
Honestly I believe the start date like actual HoI4 should be 1890 or 1900, leading up to actual WWI, since like WW2, there are many events that actually led to the war. Events such as the Morocco Crisis (1905-1906) or the Bosnian Annexation Crisis in 1908. If not actually something like 1886 with the rise of Wilhelm II in 1888 making Germany a major military state (more that it actually was). Also guys, it needs to be known as the German Empire until 1918 at the surrender where it was made into the Weimar Republic, into the Reich.

Are you going to make Serbia strong? Since they won the first battle in WW1 and they rekt AustroHungary Germany and Bulgaria in many battles. Serbia had better military then AustroHungary but also way less soldiers.
You do realise the amount of soldier is very inmportant when discusing who has a better military.

Will the German colonies in the Pacific be in the game and will Monarchy be its own ideology instead of being "Non-Aligned"?
German colonies in the Pacific are in the actual version of the mod. Be sure German Empire is Non-Aligned anymore.
is there anyway to make the russian empire a dark green instead of the soviet dark red
Great work! Really great! Here are my suggestions and questions for this great work:
1- Russian Events
I know how hard coding and making a mod is, but it's a ww1 based mod, and there should be events such as civil war in Russia, Ukrainian Independence Declaration, Tsar Nicholas II takes control of the armies, (Gain Tsar Nicholas II as Field Marshal)
2-Turko-Ottoman Events
There should be focuses to reclaim Balkan territories, modernise the country etc.
There's also kinda a civil war in Ottoman Empire, there's a party named "Committee of Union and Progress" they want to limit the power of monarchy, they are nationalist and they sign a secret agreement with Germans to enter the war, so monarchy can get bad events because of them, and if they make a coup in the country, the country should have the same ideology as Germans, there should be also events about Turkish Independence war when the Ottomans are getting occupied by allies.
3- Christmas Truce
As you know, even though they are enemies, central and allied powers didn't attack each other during Christmas, they even gave each other cigarattes. :)
4- Zimmermann Telegram
A German telegram to Mexico to make them join the war which was intercepted by the British. This should be in the mod, maybe the British intercepts it with a chance of 70% or Germans succesfully send that to Mexico and they join war with a chance of 30%.
5- National Focuses for every country, at least a lot of them as release version of the mod.
Most of countries have the same focus tree and that is boring, remember, how detailed your mod is, it will be way better.
6- Loading Screens
Don't forget to add loading screens related to ww1 and quotes from well known personalities of ww1.

1. Was the Weimar Republic a 'Reich?'
2. Which were the 3 'Reichs?'

I found a little mistake at the german-russian and german-austrian borders. Upper Silesia belonged to Germany. Kattowitz (the city province next to Krakow/Cracow) was part of Eastern upper Silesia. Same goes for the russian province above it
