Description
Instructions: Once installed the mod, double-click the HDN shortcut on your desktop, or HDN.exe in your Run folder (which is inside the copy of the ACDN folder), to start HDN. This will launch the updater. You always have to start the game this way, do not run DMCR.exe or anything else to start the game! Once it's updated, you can click the "Launch HDN" button that appears. This starts American Conquest Divided Nation which now will have the mod installed. If the updater stops with the progress bars empty for more than 30 seconds, with the message "Updating mod..." or "Updating maps..." just close it and run it again.

Here is a link to the official HEW gameplay guide. It is an appropriate read for both new and experienced players. The entire guide is very long, so rather than reading from beginning to end in one sitting, it is recommended that you pick sections (topics you would like to learn more about) using the table of contents and read those one at a time.
