Halo PC Single player mod, new equipment, new danger. new firepower!
This is just yet another small piece. It took me like one minute of actual work to get shotguns in the level.
For anyone that is curious, yes. This means shotguns (and their ammo obviously) will be in earlier levels, and yes. Marines will use them.
This is just another small thing.
You might also notice the Player's View is above the marines. Basically, the Hitboxes on the Chief are 7 foot tall, but the camera is only 6.8 or so. I set it to 7, you are now above troopers in height.
How will this effect friendly fire? balance wise Elites might have some trouble dealing with two Marines armed with Shotguns.
Friendly Fire actually isn't that bad, the marines are pretty good with the shotguns surprisingly. As for balance, I'm still working on it (You have a point though, on this level? The shotgun kills everything). They're a little more common than I was hoping for (Still tweaking it), but basically, for every 2 to 3 marines. there is 1 shotgun. I'm hoping to make the ratio higher, so shotguns are not rare, but not so common either.
I like the idea of 3 Riflemen covering the demolition guy with the shotgun, yeah CQC is pwns.
Hah, yeah seems pretty neat. Reminds me, Marines are surprisingly good with grenades too, they just barely ever use them.
Not from my point of view, Poor MC died more times from friendly grenades then from melee, can I be a beta tester please? :)
Yeah, sometimes the marines are a little twitchy, but I haven't had many problems (yet :p).
And sure, I could always use a helping hand, what's your Steam/Xfire/MSN?
