As you might've noticed, Halfquake Rebirth wasn't updated for a fairly long period of time The reason behind this development halt is pretty simple. I didn't feel motivated enough to work on it. Although now i do, and development has resumed. Let's take a look at things HQR acquired over the past months!
SOUNDTRACK
Halfquake Rebirth has a Soundtrack now. It's composed by Muddasheep himself! He did an amazing job composing these music tracks for the mod. Take a listen!
REBIRTH
- The Main Menu theme, and possibly the theme of the entire mod. It's an ambient track which features a quiet yet audible choir.
IN THE DARK
- The theme of the dark rooms; a brand new part of the mod! It is also an ambient track, though its faster than the previous one. It also features some really nice instruments. It puts an emphasis on speed in one of the dark room' traps.

WEAPON SOUNDS
Recently, i've been approached by the talented Void who offered to make some weapon sfx for Halfquake Rebirth. He created brand new sound effects for the following weapons:
- SMG1
- Pistol
- Shotgun

MAPS
I've been slowly but surely revamping the existing maps, aswell as creating new ones for the dark rooms chapter. Although i didn't do much, the maps are still a lot better than they were before! There's nothing new regarding the first map, though i'm planning on completely remaking it from the ground up. When it comes to the second map; part 1, i've done a bunch of nice changes to the enviroment. From adding color correction, to fixing bugs and changing textures.
Context: Lava texture has been changed.

Beautiful. Nice that Muddasheep himself is actually making the soundtrack for the mod. You don't see the creator of the original helping out a fan remake often. Keep it up!
