As I explained in media folder, this is real in-game feature. And map's not - it's just for testing purposes.
Only gasmasked soldiers could use grenades when they're zombified. Also, I think they'll have different sounds.

headcrab dies too ... maybe, if yes, GAME OVER!
It's not player. It's just zombie. And, what's funny, on easy skill setting (skills.cfg was rewritten so on easy headcrabs and zombies have more hp) headcrab will survive and leap on one of other soldiers.
