"Welcome to the Black Mesa Transit System..." Those words have been imortal to anyone who played Half-Life. When you hear them you get chills down your spine. Though that seems to have been forgoten in the resent release of Half-Life 2. HL: Black Mesa is a mod that will bring back the imortal Half-Life on the Source Engine. The only major part of this project will be redoing all the maps from Half-Life, so they look nice, because most every model we need is already in Half-Life 2. We will also redo about every texture and any model that is not in Half-Life 2. Our goal is to make sure that when you hear those words, you get goosebumps up and down your body. With the encredible detail the Source Engine allows we will be able to create the most visually stunning version of Half-Life you have ever seen. We have a new plan for our approach to the way the team designs this mod. We will use a kind of approach that Valve used on Half-Life. We will divide the team up into small groups, and these groups will consist of 2-3 mappers, 1-2 modelers, and 1 coder. These groups will each work on a chapter, and when they finish they will start another chapter of the game. This will make it very efficient process, and not as time consuming because we could have the possibly of 3 chapters being worked on simultaneously.

This also means we will need more people on the team. We are in desperate need of Mappers, Modelers, and a few Coders. If you have any experience in these fields please e-mail me the following information. I will need your ModDB Screen Name, Months/Years of experience in the field you are applying for, any means of contact (AIM, MSN, etc.), and any extra notes you wish to enclose in the e-mail.

You can send this email to PcGamer3500@Adelphia.net and I will reply within 24-48 hours.

Our team is in desperate need of members! Please help out in any way possible. You can check the help requests for more information.

Sincerely,
PcGamer3500
