Update: Finally played it. Very much liked what you make with HUD and sounds. But it almost imposibble use weapon selector when NV googles is on. And, Loving ideaa for Soldiers with opfor Voicelines. Keep it up !
If this truly is the end of development, then it's a real shame, because while the changes you've made here are neat, all it ultimately ends up being is a tweaked way to replay the original game, which is... a tad underwhelming, considering all the neat stuff you had planned.
I definitely appreciate the situation you're in though, so if I sound ungrateful, I promise I don't mean to be! I'm definitely thankful you released SOMETHING, it's always better than nothing.
Well, some bugs are detected:
- civ Barney can't shoot properly (animation problem?)
- before the elevator in offices there are unworking scripted sequences for civ Barney & zombie (animation problem?)
- looking at your feet while nightvision is enabled you see a blinding light, really prevent you from aiming at monsters etc.
- grenades just drop almost under your feet unless you trying to throw them on a run - not a good option in many common situations when you have to use grenades.
- tentacles in Blast Pit looks like they are displaced a bit from a center of the shaft and they can't reach highest floor (is it intended?)
- mp5 is reloading without playing a corresponding animation if the mag is empty
In overall, more interesting in the beginning, but later it feels almost like normal Half-Life. I recommend to put more new stuff on maps. Currently the most noticeable gameplay thing is a new type of alien grunts, everything else looks familiar, maybe only a bit modified.
Hey, This is pretty good! Although you've said you plan not to work on it anymore I have optimism with enough time and effort you may make something pretty and evenly well done like this mod!
If you'd like and just incase you do any next projects I can do texture edits and voice acting/audio editing so if your interested in that let me know! I can give you some voice clips I've made if you'd like to hear what I sound like

Every time, when somebody put original HL1 files in mod folder, my heart are breaking. This is sad :(
