Wow, not a strong start. Tried to jump off the fence and onto the balcony, then promptly got wedged between the fence and the balcony, ultimately falling into the water which didn't even have underwater textures. Like, did you not expect anybody to fall into this toxic water? The one I immediately fell into. I suck at games, but I've got HL games pretty well figured out by now if I'm dipping my toes into the 7s on Moddb. And yet, I plow on.

Environments are blocky and lack detail. Stale, steril, boring.

Puzzles were unique and challenging.

Bruh that Strider battle? Dafuq? The maps look terrible. And what are you doing, dropping me into the middle of a wide open field near a Strider? Just felt unfair to the player and looked like ***. Ohhh.... I see. It's a poorly-scripted action sequence. You're supposed to let the Strider chase you, but if you hang back, it just chases nothing and refuses to shoot at the player until you make the "big jump". Definitely didn't get this one playtested.

OH! But the window jump scene was something straight out of an action movie. Talk about adrenaline boost that makes you think on your feet.

Combat left a smile on my face. Unfair and unintuitive, but the player still manages to stumble through feeling an overinflated sense of confidence. A little clumsy, but when it goes right you feel like a god.

Intense, hectic final fight. Felt a bit easy, but I loved the arena and its introduction.

This mod definitely improved as it progressed. Second half was a lot of fun with great combat and platforming. A lot of unique, interesting ideas made for a thrilling conclusion. The author clearly learned a lot while developing Daylight, but it's a shame they didn't go back and polish up the first half. An 8/10 seems high, but despite its flaws, it was never a slog. Questionable areas never overstayed their welcome. Great pacing ends this mod on a high note.

Visually speaking, this mod isn't too impressive. However, the gameplay is there! Chock full of fun gunfights and entertaining puzzles; this is a short experience you can't pass up on checking out!

After downloading this game, this game is pretty rough but not very challenging.

I was having a hard time jumping on the ladder on the train, so I made it.

Hi- just finished playing through this after having played your Deep Down. It took me just a little bit longer to "get into" this than Deep Down, I found some of the above-ground sequences a bit slow and quirky. For example, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but in the giant culvert, whre you jump across the gully, once I was down there with the Strider,it just patiently waited for me to figure out that I needed to jump. The blank wooden wall which needs something thrown through it seemed different and original, but once I'd figured it out, it seemed anticlimactic. However, once underground it became a real delight! Very much the flavor of the original Half Life, which I assume is the intent. And I DID like the jump through the plate-glass window where the Combine goon is waiting! Oh, and have I mentioned how much those fast zombies freak me out?! Very nice sequence with the water-filled tower. Again, a real HL1 feel. Faked me out, though. Thought I recognized the noise in the tunnel as an ant lion Guard and spent I-don't-even-know-how-long bringing explosive barrels up the ramp and into the tunnel. Then almost had a panic attack when I saw the Hunters! Took a few times getting through THAT! Only other criticism is that the finale was a bit anticlimactic -- seems like there should have been one final skirmish, or even some dialog with Alyx, rather than just the passage up and out. Although I will confess that when I popped my head back up into daylight (haha), and zoomed my vision to the end, yes, my heart jumped at the sight of her! Excellent work, an I hope you do more HL mods!

This mod is visually too simple, there are no details and there is no ambient sound / music to make the atmosphere. There are hordes of enemies without proper ammo/weapons/health so cheats are a must here. Also in some places I felt lost and thought "what am I supposed to do here or where I have to go" so adding some visual clues would be great. However, I have seen some clever puzzle ideas. This mod felt like kinda unfinished for me so I am disappointed. 4 stars out of 10.

Didn't run initially, but after replacing gameinfo.txt in SourceMods\Daylight ran fine. Nice textures and good gameplay. Good Job

This mod was okay. It's about my level of mapping skills now, maybe even a little better. The puzzles were interesting but sometimes hard to figure out. Other areas looked a little devoid of detail. Anyway, I didn't feel like there was too much of a story. Do Alyx and Dog at the end relate to your next mod?

Very good mod. Really enjoyed it.
Thank you!

A short, but well done mod. It has some minor bugs, which don't hinder gameplay, but look a bit odd. There is no real story as such, the player is simply thrown into the puzzle-solving and enemy shooting, without any major introduction. The level design overall was very pleasant, but a bit plain in some areas.
All in all I had a lot of fun playing this one hour long mod.

+ Clever puzzles with growing difficulties and variation
+ Satisfying, yet challenging combat
+ Well done maps

(- No extra content, everything was seen before)
- There was one progress impeding bug (including a double door and zombies hugging it, preventing me from opening it)
- One fight in a sewer area involves some difficult enemies, but provides too little light to properly see them, that was a bit unfair
- Some areas in the maps are a bit plain/bland looking
