Half-Life 2: Assault aims to bring the attack and defend style multiplayer game play to the Half-Life world. Either take on as the role of the Rebels trying to bring down the enemies defences, or hold out against the onslaught by joining the Combine forces. This mod is set during the time span of when Alex Vance and Gordon Freeman are missing for one week after leaving Nova Prospect through the teleporter. You make the choice, are you going to be part of the Rebellion, or be the cause of its demise... If you choose to play as a Rebel your mission is to break through the Combine defences from completing task such as destroying a power generator to hacking a computer and deactivating a shield. As the Combine you must try and stop this attack and keep the Rebels from progressing. Each time the Rebels breach a point, they will start from where they have captured and the Combine will be moved back to the next point. If the Rebels manage to break through all the defences, then they have won....

It’s been a long and quiet period for Half-Life 2: Assault, and soon after the BETA release it appeared that we were dead.
However that time has ended and now we are back on track and ready to start again! Even though this is a continuation of the previous mod "HL2: Assault" I have decided to give it a new Mod profile due to a change in the members and the mod itself.
I am currently looking to rebuild the team and get things rolling again, with new ideas to add in and create for this mod.
I have uploaded a new version of the site on a temporary address due to the domain name expiring for hl2assault.com however this hopefully will be the address again soon.
