good mod but i think you forgot that we start on a island with a faction that depends way too much from trade and seapower,with 4 trade nodes that are free to take and 4k per trade caravel it´s way too much when you make 1k per turn and also that you need 3 turns to build a trade port also 1 cannon per culverin unit its kinda worthless considering it takes them too long to reload even with 900 range so 3-2 cannons might do for them anyway still a good mod.
yeah the culverin thing is a bug, and the cost of ships was done to make Portugal actually really hard early game but I have managed to pull it off many times, also money from trade has be increased by 3x so when you do get the trade ships it is worth it. Im currently working on the projectiles to make them more realistic, so if anyone has any ideas please tell me.
Edit: Im currently looking to balance hero units and fix the culverin bug.
a great mod indeed but any chances of changing garrison units? like getting swordsmen/rodeleros and arquebusiers or musketeers as garrison so we dont have to worry about our forts getting besieged?,i get it why land units are expensive but the limited pikemen/arquebus is the reason i cant afford to leave them as garrison because i wouldnt have men inside my army,im looking forward the next update
Im debating adding a Japanese crossbow unit for Portugal as a worse version of the regular crossbowmen for sieges.
The prices on the ships is way too high 10500 for 1 ship that can be swarmed by a bunch of katana bunes. like i get portugal is supposed to be hard but when youre just playing a survival game especially since merchant crew are garbage. you can't build any ashigaru so idk why that's in the mod description.
1 galleon can beat 2 navies full of light and medium ships, and the mod is still not all that hard its just really difficult early game.
