Gangwars: Source is the continuation of Gangwars' legacy from Quake back in 1998 to now the Source engine. GW:S takes the speed of original Gangwars, adds in great graphics and physics, with some new systems, like drugs (with a fully functioning economy), Dynamic Melee, and in game Streaming Media, as well as older systems, like a 3 Tier Juice system. The game also features an interactive player menu allowing players to see statistics as they go, change some options, view the "Top 10" juice rankings, as well as allowing administrators and server moderators to keep things in line. The mod is owned and developed by the Gangwars Alumni, an organization given legal and intellectual property rights to modify and expand Gangwars on the Half Life engine and beyond by the mod's original creator, Topaz.
